Community |
The ‘Common Unity’ of mankind is found in relationship. Vine3 is a group that is reaching out and finding the common thread that connects us to all peoples.
The Bible tells us in Romans 3:23-28 that we are all in this together,
rich or poor, strong or weak, educated or not – we have a common thread
of need -- the need to be forgiven and to forgive. For it is only in accepting
other's frailties that we begin to understand our own.
Romans 3:23-28 says:
For all have sinned; all fall short of God's glorious standard. Yet now God in
his gracious kindness declares us not guilty. He has done this through Christ
Jesus, who has freed us by taking away our sins. For God sent Jesus to take the
punishment for our sins and to satisfy God's anger against us. We are made right
with God when we believe that Jesus shed his blood, sacrificing his life for us.
God was being entirely fair and just when he did not punish those who sinned in
former times. And he is entirely fair and just in this present time when he declares
sinners to be right in his sight because they believe in Jesus. Can we boast,
then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal
is not based on our good deeds. It is based on our faith. So we are made right
with God through faith.
Vine 3 is reaching out to many parts of the nation to touch all
who are hurting.
A Drink of Water Project:
In
the planning stage is our project to help the ministries that are drilling fresh
water wells overseas. We hope to support these efforts and help bring to
an end the death of so many children and adults from water-borne diseases.
Most of us have bought a bottled water product at one time or another. We
hope that people will agree that one dollar for a bottle of water is not too great
a price to bring a drink of life to a sick and thirsty child.
Thread of Life Outreach:
There are teenagers, single moms, and young marrieds that are in painful relationships all across our land. Those in the middle years sometimes wonder what life was all about, as they review the regrets of life.
The elderly, our foundation-givers, often find themselves alone at the time of
life when they are the weakest, and we all can find ourselves in an area where
we have never been before -- and we look for someone to care, someone to listen.
Is there help?
We at Vine 3 are dedicated to helping those who need hope restored. It is with
the listening ear and outstretched hand that we seek to make a difference, to
bring life and hope into the difficult situations. God will touch and we can see
the recovery of hope -- into a full life - as we follow His example to love one
another. We are walking into dark areas with our ‘Thread of Life’ ministry
-- to bring this hope to all who will receive.
